Terms of Service
Plain-English summary: ProFinanceCast is a forecasting tool, not financial advice. You own your data and can leave any time. We try hard to keep it running and accurate, but we can't guarantee perfect availability or perfect math. Use it as one input among many — not as the basis for big decisions on its own.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and ProFinanceCast (operated at profinancecast.com). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. What ProFinanceCast is
ProFinanceCast is a personal-finance forecasting and scenario-modelling tool. It takes financial information you enter — income, expenses, debts, goals — and shows you projected outcomes over time. It is not a regulated financial advisor, not a tax preparer, not a broker, and not a bank.
3. Not financial advice
Everything in ProFinanceCast — including Sage AI responses, scenarios, report cards, and calculator outputs — is for informational purposes only. It is not personalised financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. For decisions that materially affect your finances, consult a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity on your account.
- You must give us accurate information when signing up and keep it up to date.
- One person, one account. Don't share login credentials.
5. Your data, your ownership
You own the financial data you enter into ProFinanceCast. We store and process it only to provide the service. You can export everything as CSV or JSON at any time from Settings, and you can permanently delete your account from Settings — your data is removed within 24 hours.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use ProFinanceCast to:
- Break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harm others
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service
- Bypass authentication, paywalls, or rate limits
- Send spam, malware, or abusive content through Sage AI
- Resell access to the service without our written permission
7. Plans, pricing, and refunds
- Free is genuinely free — no card required, no expiry.
- Pro is billed monthly (€9) or annually (€79) via PayPal.
- Premium is billed monthly (€19) or annually (€169) via PayPal.
- Current prices are listed on the billing page.
- Founders Lifetime is a one-time €149 purchase (capped at 100 seats) granting permanent Pro access — see § 7b below for the irrevocability terms.
7a. Auto-renewing subscriptions (Pro and Premium)
When you subscribe to Pro or Premium, the following applies:
- Recurring billing. Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price and interval (monthly or annual) until you cancel. Each renewal creates a new charge on the same payment method via PayPal.
- PayPal billing agreement. Subscribing creates a recurring billing agreement between you and PayPal. PayPal stores and re-uses your payment instrument to charge the renewal. The agreement is between you and PayPal; ProFinanceCast does not store your payment details.
- Renewal date. Your next renewal date is shown on your billing page and in your PayPal account. Renewals occur on the calendar anniversary of the original purchase (months for monthly, years for annual).
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel. Cancellation stops the next renewal and does NOT cancel the current period — your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no pro-rated refund for unused time within a period.
- Cancellation via PayPal. You may also cancel directly in your PayPal account at Activity → Recurring payments → ProFinanceCast → Cancel. Either path stops the next renewal.
- Failed renewals. If PayPal cannot collect a renewal payment, your subscription enters a past-due state. You keep access until your current paid period ends. We may suspend access if payment is not restored.
- Price changes. If we change subscription prices, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change applies to your renewal. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
- 14-day right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers). EU and UK consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on subscription purchases. If you cancel within 14 days of your first purchase and have not yet used Pro or Premium features beyond a reasonable trial, contact support@profinancecast.com for a full refund. Once you actively use the paid features (e.g., send a Sage AI message), you are deemed to have consented to immediate provision and the withdrawal right ends for that performed portion — but you may still cancel future renewals at any time.
7b. Founders Lifetime — one-time purchase
Founders Lifetime is structured differently from Pro/Premium:
- One-time payment. €149 charged once via PayPal, no recurring billing agreement created.
- Permanent access. Grants Pro-tier access for the lifetime of the ProFinanceCast service.
- Limited supply. Capped at the first 100 buyers across all time, after which the tier closes.
- 14-day refund window. Refundable within 14 days of purchase via support@profinancecast.com. After 14 days the purchase is non-refundable.
- Explicit waiver at checkout. Because the value is immediate-access, the checkout flow requires you to explicitly acknowledge waiver of the right of withdrawal beyond 14 days. If you did not see and check that box, the purchase did not complete and no money was taken.
- Non-transferable. Tied to your account; not resaleable or assignable.
7c. Disputes about specific transactions
Payment processing is provided by PayPal under the PayPal User Agreement. Disputes concerning a specific transaction (chargebacks, alleged unauthorised payments, transaction errors) are first resolved by PayPal under their dispute process. ProFinanceCast cooperates with PayPal investigations and will adjust your account state to match the dispute outcome.
8. Sage AI
Sage AI uses third-party large language models to answer your questions. Responses can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. Don't rely on Sage for tax filings, legal positions, or any decision where accuracy is critical without independent verification. Sage is a paid feature: Pro accounts get 200 messages per month, Premium accounts get 500 — quotas may be adjusted with notice. Free accounts do not include Sage AI.
9. Service availability
We try to keep ProFinanceCast available 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may take the service offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues. Pro time lost to extended outages can be credited on request.
10. Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we materially reduce a Pro feature, we'll notify you by email and offer a refund of any unused portion of your subscription.
11. Termination
You can close your account any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that we believe pose a security or legal risk, or that have remained inactive for an extended period after we've tried to contact you.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that forecasts will match real-world outcomes, that calculations are free of errors, or that Sage AI is correct.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProFinanceCast is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or financial decisions made based on the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will first be addressed informally — please email support@profinancecast.com so we can try to resolve things. If informal resolution fails, the dispute will be settled in the courts of England and Wales, except that EU and UK consumers retain the protections of their local consumer-protection law and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence where local law gives them that right.
15. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify you by email and post a notice in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
